Join us to celebrate the career of Dr. Mark Bailey at a reception on June 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brim Family Outdoor Learning Center (also known as the Cedar Classroom) on the 鶹Ӱ Forest Grove Campus.
Mark came to Pacific in 1995 to help develop a Master of Arts in Teaching program for early childhood education. Twelve years later, he helped open the Early Learning Community (ELC).
The list of awards Mark has received is extensive, including several fellowships and being named a Distinguished University Professor in 2013. The Forest Grove News-Times provided some public recognition in 2024, naming Bailey as an “Amazing Educator.”

Charitable gifts in honor of Mark's retirement can be made to the ELC’s Endowed Scholarship Fund (the second option listed under "designation"). Mark created this fund when he first opened the school to ensure that as many families as possible can access the amazing teaching and learning in our program.
